A Nigerian woman candidate speaking at a campaign event

DECIDE-TO-RUN · 2027 GENERAL ELECTIONS

Decide.
Run.
Win.

Every woman who has ever run for office in Nigeria had to figure it out alone. We're changing that, one candidate, one campaign, one win at a time.

HOW WE SUPPORT A CANDIDATE

Running for office is not one problem. It's three.

1.Capacity Building

Know how to run: strategy, messaging, the rules of the game, before you ever knock on a door.

2.Resource Mobilisation

Know who's behind you: funding, skilled volunteers, and a team that isn't just you.

3.Visibility Support

Know that people can see you: media, public platforms, and a story voters can follow.

THE 2027 PROGRAMME

Six ways to plug in. Pick where you are.

The playbook. Strategy, messaging, finance, and field basics: everything a first-time candidate needs before day one.

THE ORIGIN STORY

2023 wasn't a pilot. It was proof.

Ahead of Nigeria's 2023 general election, ElectHER didn't just train women to run. We built the scaffolding around them. Through the Agender35 Initiative, we backed young women aspirants with more than a playbook: real campaign finance support, a network of skilled volunteers, and public platforms most first-time candidates never get near.

We turned a private-sector fundraising gala, Green Wine, Green Gala, into a visibility platform for candidates who'd never had one. We turned an art exhibition, OBINRIN 2.0, into direct campaign capital for Agender35 candidates. We teamed up with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and WISCAR to fundraise, publicly, for the women most donors overlook. And we tested something few had tried in Nigeria before: asking the public to fund women's campaigns directly, online.

Decide-to-Run is what we built from everything that worked.
